Oxidized Silver Geometric Rings   Sold   

Fabulously bold and stylish oxidized silver geometric rings. They were clearly made by the same hand but only one has an (illegible) maker's mark. The other two are marked only 925 for sterling silver. They appear to be in unworn condition. The circle measures 1 1/4" in diameter; the square is 1 1/16". Well made with substantial weight. Ring on left is size 6; middle and right are 6 1/2.

Round silver and amethyst earrings by silver master, William Spratling. They were made in the 1940's but are totally timeless in design. Measure 1 1/8" in diameter; screwbacks. Excellent condition.

William Spratling Sterling Ranch Pitcher   $4,800.00  

This bulbous, elegant pitcher by William Spratling is known as his Ranch design. It combines a sterling silver body with an ebony handle. The outside is smooth with hand hammer marks wonderfully evident on the inside. Measurements are 6 1/2" tall and 9" across including the handle. Hallmark dates to the 1940's; excellent condition.

One of a kind iron gate in the shape of an elongated face. It would be functional as a gate but would also be terrific hung indoors as a piece of outsider art. The movable earrings are an especially whimsical touch. One spike is missing from the hairdo but all else is intact. Measurements are 62" tall and 24" at the widest point. Found in Virginia.; circa 1920.

Two delightfully homemade Amish animals - the white cotton horse measures 12" long and 9 1/2" tall. He (or she) has wonderfully detailed tack; embroidered facial features and a braided tail. Dates to about 1950. Elephant - made of dark brown velvet with glass (?) bead eyes. The rubber ears are mostly broken off. Measurements are a11 1/4" from head to tail and 7 1/4" tall. Made circa 1930.

Starbursts are just the beginning of patterning of this exciting quilt. Diamonds are filled with Robbing Peter to Pay Paul type circles that look quite different when used in half around the border. Red centers are strategically placed within the stars. The blue and ivory border chintz beautifully complements the printed fabrics of the interior. Tremendous care and planning to maske this a superb quilt. Measurements are 80@ x 88@. Pennsylvania origin> circa 1850.

Squares within squares such as this are called an Economy Patch quilt pattern. It is made of a terrific combination of late 19th century printed fabrics. Consistent use of yellow squares on the outer edge make a clever differentiation while actually using the same pattern throughout.The backing is a pink and green calico Bars pattern, often seen in quilts from southeast Pennsylvania. Measurements are 82" square; circa 1880. Excellent condition.

Beautiful Feathered Diamonds Quilt with a diagonal sashing. The white open diamonds highlight the fine quilting of feather patterns. The sawteeth, or feathers, are done with a wonderful variety of fabrics. Excellent, unwashed condition. Measures 80" x 96". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.

Nine Patch Quilt made of fine, printed wool challis fabrics on both front and back. It has a wonderfully rich color palette. Measurements are 72" x 88". Very good condition. There is a weak spot on one corner where it appears to have gotten caught on something. Made circa 1870.
