Three Sigi Pineda Silver Brooches; Circa 1950
Three silver brooches by Sigi Pineda in his characteristic biomorphic style. Fish measures just under 3" wide and 1 1/8" top to bottom. Eye is a silver bead. $195 Flower with green stones that are probably aventurine measures 3" tall and 1 1/2" wide. SOLD Abstract brooch measures 2 1/2" wide and 1" tall; $225.
3 Hector Aguilar Silver Pins; Circa 1950
Three pins by the well known Mexican designer, Hector Aguilar. The stick pin has an onyx stone; the decorative portion of the pin measures 1 inch in length; price is $325. Triangle pin measures both 2 1/4" in width and in length; $475. Bar pin is 2 1/2" wide and 1/2" tall; $325. Both bar and triangle pins are illustrated in Penny Morrill's "Silver Masters of Mexico".
