| Extraordinarily unusual Stars Quilt dated March the 27th 1846 and signed Susanna Johnson. Rarely does one find a quilt on this richly colored indigo ground. The Stars are actually a variation with which I am not familiar. Within the eight points is something of a pinwheel that I have not been able to identify as a known pattern. The small yellow circles in the center are a lovely addition of color and pattern. Excellent condition; Pennsylvania origin. Measures 84" x 90". | ||||||||||
