| Striking variation of a Light and Dark Log Cabin quilt done in wool challis. Streak of Lightning border meant to indicate which end of the quilt was for the head. Wonderful combination of solid and printed fabrics creates additional sub-patterns. Small size logs; each measures less than 1/2" wide. Very fine condition but as is usually the case with wool challis, not perfect. Measures 66" x 73"; circa 1870. Pennsylvania origin. | |||||||||||
