| This quilt truly looks as though you are seeing Caesar's crown from above his head. We'll never know whether the four leaf clovers formed in the negative space were intentional or serendipitous. The quilt has never been washed; binding is applied by machine. The polka dot fabric is surprisingly contemporary looking but is absolutely of the period. This quilt is illustrated in "Quilts 2004". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870. Measures 80" x 95". | |||||||
