| This is a classic Log Cabin Barnraising quilt in traditionally Pennsylvania colors. The particular use of lights and darks gives tremendous depth to the pattern. A note attached to the back reads "C Enoch Snyder receiving this quilt when 8 years old from his mother 1909 Lead a (sic) honest and holy life". Enoch must have treasured this gift for it is in pristine, un-used condition. Measurements are 91" square. The backing is an especially rich paisley print to which the quilt can be reversed for an entirely different bedcover. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880. | ||||||||||
