Fred Davis Silver and Amethyst Brooch   $875   

Unusual amethyst with sterling brooch by the earliest of Mexican silver designers, Fred Davis. Outer ring of amethysts are cleverly set with a crimped bezel allowing the stones to abut one another. Measures 1 1/2" in diameter. Excellent condition; circa 1950.

Graceful swirled ribbon brooch of silver and copper; matching earrings are all silver. Done in William Spratling's earliest design period - late 1930's - mid 1940's. Pin measures a substantial 3 1/2" long and 2 3/4" wide.

Irish Chain Privy Pocket: Circa 1860; Pennsylvania   $685  

Privy pocket that is extraordinary in several ways. Most wonderful are the graphics; the Irish Chain is set to create striking diamond and X patterns. This is the only privy pocket I have seen that is quilted; usually they are simply pieced like a quilt top.This is also earlier than other with which I am familiar; dates circa 1860. Hanging tabs; binding and one edge show some wear but the body of the piece is in very good condition.Measures 21" square; Pennsylvania origin.

Charming Schoolhouse quilt made very lively by the use of solid red fabrics. While traditional in some ways, the quilt also has an interesting abstract quality due to the placement of the varied colored vertical and horizontal blocks. Has several very light smudges but essentially in excellent condition. Measures 64" x 69"; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1880.

Twentyfive Patch quilt done in a beautiful, soft shade of blue. Sawtooth border is a slightly different fabric that is perhaps 2% darker than the interior. Pristine, unwashed condition. Body is quilted in straight lines; border is a cable variation. Circa 1920; Pennsylvania origin. Measures 72" x 74".
