Jester Pendant on Gold Chain   $1,950   

This is a finely made, whimsical jester necklace. Is is made with beautifully inset stones of onyx; turquoise; lapis lazuli and malachite set on mother of pearl. The pendant measures 1 1/4 inches long and 7/8" wide. It is hung on a 19 inch gold box link chain. The pendant is signed and numbered although I am not able to read the name of the artist. Made circa 1990; excellent condition.

Tiffany Sterling Silver and Enamel Cufflinks
  Tiffany Sterling Silver and Enamel Cufflinks   $825

Tiffany sterling silver cufflinks with enamel nautical flags that spell out Tiffany. The cufflinks are 13/16" in diameter. Light scratching to silver can be polished out but does not seem essential. The scratches are more prominent in the enlarged images than in real life. Enamel is in excellent condition.

LeMoyne Stars Quilt: Circa 1830's; Vermont   $2,850  

This LeMoyne Stars quilt is made with a glorious combination of richly colored printed materials. The border consists of two different glazed chintz fabrics with flowers; fruit and birds. The Stars are milk and dark brown chocolate colors with one lone indigo corner block. The quilt is in pristine, unwashed condition. Several of the fabrics in addition to the border are glazed. Lone Star Crib Quilt: Circa 1870; Pennsylvania

It's not often that one sees a Lone Star (aka Star of Bethlehem or Texas Star) quilt in a crib size. This fine example is done with perfectly Pennsylvania colors. Four different calico prints are well combined with a fifth one for the backing. The blue corner blocks are nicely quilted with small diamonds and a cable pattern in the border. Crossed Leaves Quilt: Circa 1850; Maryland   $4,500  

To the best of my knowledge, this quilt pattern of crossed leaves is an original design. Barbara Brackman illustrated a similar one in her Encyclopedia of Applique (item 23.7) that was seen on an album quilt dated 1846 but I do not know of others. This quilt is made with exquisite workmanship. All of the applique, including the border are stuffed. This red and green Touching Lemoyne Stars quilt is the perfect decor for the holidays. The red is a solid color and green is calico. The quilt would fit well on a queen size bed or make a striking wall hanging. It is quilted with concentric arcs. Measurement are 88" x 90"; condition is excellent. Made circa 1880.

Gump's Amethyst Earrings set in Gold   $975  

Amethyst and 14 karat gold earrings by Gump's of San Francisco. The oval cabochon stones are half an inch wide and 3/4 inch long. They are a wonderfully rich color. The stones are surrounded by a gold band and held with four prongs. Backs are clips and posts.

Feathered Stars Quilt: Circa 1860; New York

Finely pieced Feathered Stars quilt done entirely in a mid 19th century printed dress fabric that "reads" as marigold. It has a wonderful sunshiny glow to the color. It is well quilted with half inch squares throughout. Measurements are 78" x 80". The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in excellent condition. New York State origin; circa 1860.

Maple Leaf Quilt with Botanical Border: Circa 186-   $2,650  

This Maple Leaf quilt (or is it a Peony?) is beautifully made and has an exceptional botanical border. The appliques on the border depict a variety of flowers and fruits that are stuffed and/or ruched. Never before have I seen one done this way. The sawtooth border is a good continuation of the geometry of the Maple Leaves. It is quilted with double squares on point. The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in excellent condition. Striking Straight Furrows Log Cabin quilt done in fine wool challis with an elegant glazed cotton backing. The quilt is made with beautifully combined jewel toned printed and solid fabrics. The centers are unusual in that they are Four Patches rather than the usual single block. The binding is a narrow red wool tape. Measurements are 84" x 85". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870's.
