These large earrings by silver master William Spratling are most unusual. Oval obsidian discs are below the silver swirl with an obsidian ball on top. They measure 1 1/8" wide x 1 5/8" tall. 1960's hallmark. They are from the widow of silversmith Allan Adler.

Birds in the Air Quilt: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania   $895  

This triangles quilt pattern most closely resembles Birds in the Air but technically is a bit different. Both fabrics are tiny prints that blend well together. The backing is a complimentary small print. It is very well pieced and in excellent, unwashed condition. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880's. Measurements are 78" x 85".

Wonderfully sculptural 18 karat gold earrings by David Webb. Three ridged lobes converge giving lots of depth. The earrings measure 1 1/4" x 7/8" wide. Clip backs can be converted to posts.

Light and Dark Log Cabin Quilt: Circa 1870   $1,085  

This beautiful jewel toned Light and Dark Log Cabin quilt is made of satins giving it a rich luster. The placement of light and dark makes for a variety of patterns and lots of movement. The quilt consists of a top quilted to a cotton backing. It was not completed and does not have a binding but one could easily be added if desired. Measurements are 64" x 74": circa 1870's.

Oval Loops Sterling Silver Necklace

Unusual long sterling silver necklace with two alternating finishes. One is a matte surface and the other is what the maker refers to as "chaotica" as it is an allover irregular pattern. The loops are deeper at one end than the other all of which contributes to its unusual look. It measures 29" long; links are 3/4" wide.

This Center Medallion or One Patch Doll Quilt begins with fabrics from the 1830's in the center. It works its way to the 1880's in the border and outer frames. The fabrics are all in excellent condition. The quilt is professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 16 3/4" x 18 3/4". Pennsylvania origin.

Tiffany Gold Ridged Half Hoop Earrings

These 18 karat gold earrings by Tiffany could not be more versatile. The ridged pattern adds dimension and nice reflection of light to these half hoops. Measurements are 1/2" wide and 7/8" long; excellent condition. Omega backs; circa 1970.

Eduardo Herrera Oxidized Silver Bracelet   $1,950  

Dramatic, sinuous bracelet by Mexican architect turned jeweler, Eduardo Herrera. He oxidizes the surface of the 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) to create the black surface. The bracelet measures 7 3/4" wearable length and is 2" wide. The multiple links make it surprisingly fluid and very comfortable to wear.

Eduardo Herrera Oxidized Silver and Tumbaga Necklace
  Eduardo Herrera Oxidized Silver and Tumbaga Necklace   $2,650

This extraordinary necklace was made by Mexican architect turned jeweler, Eduardo Herrera. It is made of oxidized 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) and tumbaga. Tumbaga is a pre-Colombian technique used in Mesoamerica and South America to create an alloy of gold with copper. The combination of tumbaga with the blackened silver could not be more striking. Herrera's architectural background is evident in the construction of this necklace with elaborately overlapping graduated size links.... Click for details
