Large Native American Turquoise Cuff Bracelet   $900

This unusually large turquoise Native American bracelet is surrounded by handsome silver detail. It may have been made for ceremonial use.The triangular turquoise stone measures 2 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" at its widest. There is matrix throughout the stone. In one area, it is filled with resin as there was obviously an indentation. That would not be unusual with a stone as large as this. Made circa 1950's;excellent condition.

Native American Large Two Stone Turquoise Cuff Bracelet
Native American Large Two Stone Turquoise Cuff Bracelet   $950

Massive Native American cuff bracelet with two triangular turquoise stones. There is beautiful silver work with considerable detail around the stones. The bracelet makes a fabulous fashion statement for either a man or woman. It measures 3 1/8" tall and 3" at its widest. The inner diameter of the cuff is 2 1/2" with a 1 5/8" opening (which can be adjusted). There is a small chip in the smaller of the two stones. It can probably be polished out but I have had nothing done to it. Made circa... Click for details

Native American Turquoise Bracelet: Circa 1950   $625

Navajo bracelet with 15 beautifully colored, natural turquoise stones. The center medallion is 1 3/4" tall. Inner diameter is 2 1/4" with an opening of 1 1/4" (adjustable). Last thumbnail photo shows that the wrist cuff has been (poorly) re-soldered to the center medallion. It was not beautifully done but it is certainly secure. It does not show on the front of the bracelet. Made no later than 1950's.

Large Silver Hoop Earrings with Amethyst Discs; Circa 1950
Large Silver Hoop Earrings with Amethyst Discs; Circa 1950   $245

Bold and unusual silver earrings of large circles within which are cut out circles. They are topped with amethysts, the size of which looks as though they are from the cut out circle. The setting and type of amethyst as well as the overall design of the earring are reminiscent of the work of William Spratling. The earrings are certainly artist made but not signed other than sterling. The circles measure 1 3/8" in diameter. The earrings are 1 3/4" in length including the amethyst. Backs are hinged... Click for details

Silver and Onyx Thumbprint Bracelet   $775

This Thumbprint bracelet may be by silver master Antonio Pineda. It is a variation of his traditional all silver Thumb bprint bracelet. I have not seen one like this in which the silver links alternate with onyx. The ambiguity has to do with the mark. The circular mark under the clasp looks as though it is one that often accompanies Antonio's crown but I cannot say with 100% certainty. The tall push clasp with a wide circle is certainly one used by Antonio. Regardless of whether it is by... Click for details

Sterling Silver Necklace by Eduardo Herrera
Sterling Silver Necklace by Eduardo Herrera   Sold

This wonderful 950 silver (higher quality than sterling) necklace by Eduardo Herrera calls two mind two very different images. It looks like coral as well as the cut out designs of Henri Matisse. The links are hammered. They are 1 1/2" wide at the front and 5/8" at the back. The necklace has exactly the right amount of flexibility to make it very comfortable to wear. It is approximately 18 1/2" long; the natural curve of the necklace makes it difficult to measure precisely.

Stag and Hounds Folk Art Quilt: Circa 1870; Pennsylvania   $9,600

This extraordinary pictorial quilt depicts images that are both fierce and friendly. On the bottom are hounds chasing stags while on the top is a tree of life surrounded by birds, one of which may be a dove. It's a shame not to be able to speak with the quiltmaker to learn more of her intent but perhaps it is a metaphor for both the danger and kindness of life. Or am I reading too much into it? The quilt is from Pennsylvania; circa 1870's. Measurements are 77" x 78". It is in very good... Click for details
