Quirky Sampler Quilt: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania   $1,425

This Sampler quilt has a quirky charm of its own. The blocks combine traditional patterns with scrappy cotton crazies. While initially the pattern may seem random, the maker evidently tried to give some structure by placing an Evening Star in each of the four corners. The printed patchwork cat block is especially endearing. Measurements are 80" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
