Early woman's waist pocket made entirely of linen. The front is seven pieces of the same block printed fabric. The backing is plain linen. Excellent condition with both ties intact. Measures 17" tall and 13" at widest. Circa 1820; new England origin.

| "Huswif" Roll up Sewing Case: Circa 1830; Pa. $595. |
Unusually large sewing roll up case known as a "huswif". Measures 27" long and 6 3/4" wide. The interior is done with a variety of light and dark printed fabrics including a ruffle on the top end. The outside is plain linen. Remnants remain of two tabs for hanging which may explain why the backing is plain. It would not have been seen if it was meant to be hung more than rolled up. Lovely linen darning sampler with nine patterns done in red and blue. Excellent condition; has one smudge on the background visible in thumbnail photo. Probably European origin but difficult to say what country; circa 1830. Professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 14 1/2" square.

Unusual cotton crazy on left measures 3 3/4" square. Nice variety of fabrics from the 1870's - 80's.
Six lobes - pristine condition; finely hand pieced. 2 3/4" tall; beautiful 1870's material.
Both have original loops for hanging.
