Light and Dark Log Cabin Hooked Rug: Ca. 1920   $1150.    

This hooked rug is made to look like the Log Cabin pattern usually associated with quilts. One can see this rug in several ways; there are five light and dark blocks; pinwheels and hourglasses. Lights and darks are well placed to give lots of movement. It is mounted on a stretcher measuring 40" square. Made of wools; circa 1920. Ex- Barbara Johnson collection.

Wonderfully graphic Light and Dark Diamonds hooked rug that makes a variety of patterns with lots of movement. Purple centers outlined in blue add warmth to the color palette. Excellent condition and strong enough to be used on a floor. Measures 31" x 69 1/2". Maine origin; circa 1920.

Hexagons Hooked Rug: Circa 1920   $1675.   

Unusual hooked rug of hexagons filled in with a variety of patterns. It is made of wools; circa 1920. Mounted on a stretcher and ready to be hung either horizontally or vertically. The stretcher is 36" x 73. The rug is in excellent condition. There is a puncture on the foamcore backing that does not go through to the rug.

A vibrant kaleidoscopic background sets off this charming reclining dog hooked rug. The dog has whimsical yellow paws; ears and nose adding to his unique charm. The initials EG are probably those of the maker. Professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 30 1/2" x 40". Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin. Made of wool; excellent condition.
