| Wild Goose Chase Doll Quilt: Circa $550. |
Charming Wild Goose Chase Doll Quilt unusually set on an indigo ground. May have been made as a girl's practice piece or by a slightly distracted mother as the triangles do not all go in the same direction. Wonderful improvisation of a small triangle filling in the space of the lower right. Measures 12 3/4" x 19". Excellent condition with just a tiny amount of wear on the binding; nicely hand quilted. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.

| Applique Doll Quilt: Circa 1870 $695. |
This exquisitely miniature doll quilt is one of the smallest I have seen. It is an original pattern that is machine quilted and hand appliqued. The greatest number of 19th century doll quilts seem to have been pieced. Finding an appliqued version is quite unusual. The fringe was a mother's (probably) successful effort to finish off this delicate piece. It is professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 8 1/4" wide and 7 1/2" tall. Made circa 1870; excellent condition.
