| Nine Patch Crib Quilt/Wild Goose Chase: Ca.1920;Pa. $650. | |
This Nine Patch Crib Quilt must have been made by someone with a droll sense of humor. The centers utilize printed fabric with geese and the entire piece is framed by a Wild Goose Chase border. I prefer to think this was not coincidence. Unused condition; has several tiny spots that I do not think merit laundering. Quilted with diagonal lines. Utilizes several different blue fabrics. Measures 36" x 37". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1920.

| LeMoyne Stars Crib Quilt: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania $1600. |
This small size Lemoyne Stars crib quilt was either for a small baby or a large doll. It measures 20" x 24". The red stars really "pop" on the unusual chocolate brown background. The maker took some care in cutting the brown fabric to give an extra frame around the edge with the print of the material. Excellent condition. Professionally mounted on a stretcher. Circa 1880; Pennsylvania origin.

| Shoo Fly Crib Quilt: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania $1675. | |
Wonderfully miniaturized Shoo Fly Crib Quilt. While a separate pattern was not used for a border, the outer row of blocks are all the same brick red color, creating a self contained border. Each block measures 2 1/2" square. Excellent, unwashed condition. Measures 31" x 34". Horsham, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
