This unusual piece combines several patterns in a center medallion format rarely seen in mid West Amish quilts. The center LeMoyne Star is surrounded by blocks of Bow Ties and Chinese Coins that are irregularly set. The maker of this quilt had both imagination and skill. It is well pieced and quilted with several different patterns. The quilt is all cotton fabrics; circa 1920. It is in mint, unwashed condition. Measurements are 68" x 80".

Ohio Amish Streak of Lightning Quilt (aka Bricks) in deep, rich colors. Made of wools that that are well placed lights and darks. Cable quilted border and waffle quilted interior. The quilt has good body to it as though it has not been used yet it has several old, very finely done, patches along the border. Measures 68" x 80". Ohio origin; circa 1920. Colors are a little lighter than appear on my monitor.

Finely quilted, classic Lancaster County Amish Sawtooth Diamond quilt made of light weight wools. Quilted with feather patterns in border and concentric stars in the center. This Lancaster County Amish Bars Quilt is both classic and quirky. The absence of an inner border gives a very different look to what would otherwise be a traditional pattern. It is deep red and dark forest green with lighter blue corner blocks. It is not as dark as appears in the overall photo. The Bars are quilted in double diamond patterns.
