Deep forest green and wine red make for a richly toned Sawtooth Diamond quilt. Made with the extremely fine wools for which the Lancaster County Amish are well known. Very well quilted with concentric stars in the center and classic feathered border. Excellent condition. Colors are considerably lighter than on my monitor. Measures 79" square; circa 1920.

Unusual variation of a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Amish Nine Patch Quilt. The blocks are actually the same throughout, but the arrangement of colors gives the center grouping an entirely different appearance. Floral quilting in the border typical of the 1930's. Made mostly of wools with a cotton back. Very good condition; has a hint of a faded line visible in middle thumbnail photo but no other condition flaws. Measures 74" x 81".

Two absolutely charming homemade Amish animals from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Dog is cotton flannel with shoe button eyes. Body is tan color that does not look faded until one sees the underside where it is a slightly darker tone. Excellent condition. Measures 9" long and 6 1/2" tall.
Horse is a much rarer form of Amish animal. This one has been dearly loved. Cotton stuffing shows through on his legs and a wrap put over his left foreleg. 18" long and 12" tall.

Left - chambray dress with part of one sleeve ripped off. Black stockings and bloomers. 15 1/2" tall; circa 1930.
Middle - made with no arms probably by a very busy mother. Measures 21" tall; circa 1930.
Right - feedsack bloomers. Apron may have been a later addition as everything about the doll seems to be circa 1930 - 40 but the apron is a blended fabric that may be from the 60's. Measures 15" long. Nec... Click for details
