| Dove in the Window Quilt: Circa 1860; Pennsylvania $1650. | |
This unusual quilt is closest to the Dove in the Window or Goose Tracks patterns. Well made with a terrific, whimsical swag border. The soft blue calico background beautifully sets off the pink and green. Professionally laundered; excellent condition. Measures 82" x 88"; circa 1860. Pennsylvania origin.

| Lone Star Quilt: Circa 1870; Pennsylvania $2400. |
Dramatic Lone Star quilt (aka Star of Bethlehem) with the most unusual of background fabrics. It's a print I've never seen before that has the profile of a woman. It may be earlier than the calicoes of the star. Unwashed condition. Some oxidation to the solid orange fabric. Measures 100" square, unusually large for the 1870's when it was made. Pennsylvania origin.

| Baskets Quilt: Circa 1900; Pennsylvania $1075. | |
Exuberant Baskets pattern quilt in the color combination so popular in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Well planned use of color; carrying through the border color to the top of the baskets gives each one a light feel. Diagonal grid with red blocks also adds unification as well as punchiness. Excellent condition. Measures 82" square; circa 1900.

| Applique Quilt: Circa 1870; Lancaster County, Pa. $2200. |
Floral applique quilt that is striking in every way. Probably an original pattern. Solid red and green are strikingly offset by the orange background with a tiny print. Flying Geese grid, forming a star in the center, makes the entire composition even more out of the ordinary. Unwashed condition. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania origin. Measures 82" x 84". White streak in next to last thumbnail photo is a flaw in the printing; it is not damage to the quilt.
