Pristine, unwashed Four Patch Crib quilt or Cradle Quilt. Interesting in that the indigo is the only fabric repeated in the four Four Patch blocks. Wonderful scale and colors. Measures 22 1/4" x 23"; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1880.

Probably a unique Starflower quilt pattern. On first glance, it looks like a Carolina Lily but in reality, it is much more unusual. Solid colors set on double blue calico seen most often in southeastern Pennsylvania. Binding repeats the red of the stars and creates a wonderful narrow frame. Unwashed condition; circa 1880. Measures 85" square.

Subtle and sophisticated One Patch pattern quilt filling a Diamond in the Square. Pristine, unwashed condition. Superb selection and placement of shirting fabrics. Excellent craftsmanship. Central medallion in quilting surrounded by hearts. Difficult to imagine a better example of this type of quilt. Measures 75" square; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1920.

Exquisitely quilted variation of Caesar's Crown pattern in which the negative space, forming a cloverleaf pattern, is as prominent as the primary block. Several different quilting patterns used, all very well done. Unusual border of half stars. Excellent condition; one very small dark brown area is very inconspicuous. Fabrics are all strong and intact. Measures 83" square; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1840.

Tremendously unusual arrangement for a Hole in the Barn Door quilt. Dramatic diagonal grid makes it different from other renditions of this pattern. Excellent condition. Circa 1890; York County, Pennsylvania. Measures 73" x 74".

Funky, unusual version of Rocky Road to Kansas done in wools with embroidered hearts, animals and floral motifs. Measures 37" x 70", a wonderful size for hanging whether vertically or horizontally. Cotton stripe backing also used to create the binding. Circa 1920; Maryland origin.

Wonderful tiny scale to each block of this Maple Leaf crib comforter. Beautiful variety of early fabrics. Tied, rather than quilted. Fabrics are in excellent condition. Has not been washed and has a subtle dark spot visible in photos along the bottom. Measures 39" x 55". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.

Central Floral Wreath pattern created solely with the use of one inch square blocks. Quilting repeats the postage stamp pattern with swirling flowers in corner blocks. May be an Anne Orr pattern.
