Richly colored Amish One Patch quilt from Greene County, Pennsylvania. Seems to have been made by someone without tremendous financial resources but with a great color sense. Some of the blocks are pieced together with several pieces of the same materials. Front is wool; backing is cotton flannel. Measures 74" square; circa 1920.

Variation of Lemoyne Stars Quilt pattern that may be unique. Central star is surrounded by a half star in each corner. White background is pieced so that the central star is in a square surrounded by a diamond. All done in a wonderful, richly colored plaid fabric. Nicely quilted. Professionally laundered; excellent condition. Some staining on back but none on the front. Measures 73" x 78". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.

Crib quilt with unusual arrangement of Nine Patch set in Bars. Orange centers add just the right zing to this charming piece. Nicely quilted with extremely tiny stitches. Crisp and unwashed Hourglass (aka Bow Tie) quilt in typically late 19th century calico prints. Wonderful small scale to the blocks; each is 3 1/2" square. Lights and darks give a crisscross effect with lots of movement. Measures 77 " square. Frederick County, Maryland origin; circa 1880.

Early Variable Stars Crib Quilt done with a nice assembly of calico prints. The center four stars, all in the same materials, form a center medallion. Nicely quilted. The front is in very good condition. Damage to the back, visible in thumbnail photos, does not go through to the front. Measures 41" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.

Crewel Embroidered Waist Pocket: Circa 1800   $2,875  

Extraordinarily rare crewel embroidered Waist Pocket dating to about 1800. Wool on linen with cotton binding. Incredible condition. Unusually bright and colorful. Professionally mounted on stretcher that measures 15 1/2" wide and 18" long. Found in Pennsylvania.

Great combination of Bars and Nine Patch Quilt. Extra bonus is the Cheater's Cloth backing, making it totally reversible to a printed patchwork. Nine Patches are smaller than postage stamp size. Each piece is a miniaturized 1/2" to a side. Excellent condition; damage to only one block - visible in last of the thumbnail photos showing the Nine Patches. Terrific fabrics both front and back. Measures 76" x 78". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
