This unusual Tane necklace is made of circular links that terminate with round balls. They are strung on a rubber cord measuring 17 inches long. It has a magnetic clasp with a safety loop. The necklace is not signed by Tane but comes in their presentation box. From a practical point of view, there is not a place where the maker could have put their stamp as every bit of it is textured. Fourteen karat gold dangle earrings by Betty Cooke. The circles are 7/8" in diameter. Each has a half gloss finish and half satin. The circles are suspended on a 1 1/8" wire for pierced ears. Sold in a box with Betty's signature. Ninety six year old Betty Cooke is considered one of the icons of the Modernist studio jewelry movement. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

Frank Miraglia Sterling Silver Modernist Necklace   $650  

Interesting sterling silver links necklace by New York jeweler, Frank Miraglia. It is signed "Miraglia Sterling Modern". Four hinged links surround a central pendant with a round gray glass stone. The plaque measures 1 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/8 inches at the widest. It is 9 1/2 inches in length from the clasp to the bottom of the pendant. Condition is excellent; made 1950's.

Rare, early sterling with amethyst bracelet by silver master, William Spratling. The bracelet has a raised, striated silver design throughout that terminates with two pear shaped cabochon amethysts. On either side of them are three graduated size round amethysts. The bracelet is hinged and has a pin closure. Maker's mark dates it to the period between 1940 - 1946. Streamlined bird brooch by the nonagenarian Modernist designer, Betty Cooke. Cooke is known for her minimal designs that successfully convey the form she aims for. This bird measures 4 inches wide and 2 inches from the bottom of the wood branch on which it sits to the top of the head. It was probably made in the 1960's. Ninety six year old Cooke is considered one of the icons of the Modernist studio jewelry movement. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

Chic and playful rubber and sterling silver bangle bracelet by Tane. The core of the bracelet is rubber that is completely covered with sterling silver dots. The combination of silver with the black is quite striking. The interior diameter of the bracelet is 2 1/2 inches. It fits a medium wrist. Tane has been known since the early 20th century as one of Mexico's finest silversmiths.

Made circa 1960's. The bracelet weighs a substantial 94 grams.

This is an elegant pair of sterling silver master salt dishes by William Spratling. The dishes are 2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. Hand hammer marks show within the bottom of the bowls. All else is a smooth finish. The salts have Spratling's circular imprint used from 1933 - 1939. One dish has several small indentations that may be hammer marks from the original construction rather than damage. The salts are priced at $485. for the pair. This is a most unusual pair of sterling silver mint dishes by famed silver designer, William Spratling. The tops of the dishes measure 2" x 2 3/4". They are mounted on an S shaped base. They are 13/16" in height. The two dishes have different Spratling marks. One is the conjoined script WS with the designation of 925 silver that dates from 1949 - 1956.
